Higher Chemistry
The Higher Chemistry course consists of three units:
1) Energy Matters which includes the study of reaction rates, enthalpy and patterns in the periodic table.
2) The World of Carbon which includes the study of fuels, nomenclature and structural formulae and reactions of carbon compounds.
3) Chemical Reactions which includes the study of the chemical industry, Hess's Law and Equilibrium.
Candiditates will be expected to describe experimental procedures, record relevant measurements and observations, analyse experimental information, draw valid conclusions and evaluate experimental procedures with supporting argument.
