Philosophy

To challenge and support pupils in a safe learning environment that provides a preparation for adult life in terms of self-confidence, self-discipline and self-motivation and to provide a rewarding and fulfilling experience of education during their secondary school years. To encourage an enthusiasm for and an interest in all aspects of Biology.

Course

All S1 pupils study Biology as a separate science. Topics covered in S1 are Living Things, Human Physiology and Development & Change.

In S2/S3 Standard Grade Biology is taught as well as Intermediate 1.

In S4-6 the courses on offer at present are; Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher Biology & Intermediate 2 and Higher Psychology.

Extra Curricular Activities

Monday Lunchtime - Intermediate 2 in room 9

Tuesday Lunchtime - Higher in room 10

Tuesday After School - All Levels in room 8

Thursday Lunchtime - Standard Grade in room 11

For help with homework, revision, catch up and preparation for tests.
