You need up to date information to help make good decisions about subjects and eventually about careers.

This area of the site contains simple information grouped into a number of sections and often including links to other on-line resources.

If you can't find what you are looking for here then please use the contact us section of this site, speak to one of your teachers or contact the school's careers adviser or the school librarian.

Entry varies between courses
From 0-4 Standard Grades up to 1-3 Highers
You apply to colleges direct
Some courses have deadlines and some are very popular so make sure and apply as early as possible
Phone colleges for a prospectus and application form or check the red boxes in the library

Entry requirements vary depending on the university and course
Most will ask for 3 to 5 Highers
You apply for up to 6 courses through UCAS
You will complete your UCAS form by the end of Term 1 of S5/6
Vet,Dentistry,Medicine and Oxbridge have a much earlier closing date
